The art of medicine continuously expands requiring education and the aspiration of excellence. The Faculty are teachers, providing guidance to residents doctors who are pursuing expertise in a specific area. As such these mentors must maintain higher standards.
The Director
Dr. Javed Siddiqi, MD, DPhil (Oxon)
He has been trained in all aspects of neurosurgery with extensive emphasis in skull base and microvascular neurosurgery which is used for tumors and aneurysms. He has been trained by the foremost neurosurgeons in the United States and Europe who have set standards for neurosurgical care. Dr Siddiqi continues to be on the forefront of neuroscience, bringing new techniques and ideas to California. Dr Siddiqi continues to teach medical staff, students and resident in the nuances of neurosurgery and neuroscience. He has given national lectures in the areas of tumor surgery, endoscopic surgery, pituitary surgery, Parkinson's surgery, trigeminal neuralgia surgery, microdiscectomy surgery and neuro-trauma.
Dr. Siddiqi received his MD degree from University of Western Ontario in 1989. His residency was performed at University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario under the leadership of Dr. Charles Drake. He then completed his Skull Base and Neurovascular Fellowship at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock from Dr. Ossama Al-Mefty and Dr. Yasargil. He is Board Certified in Neurological Surgery.
